Police Officers will soon begin using a fleet of seven electric motorcycles to patrol the Las Vegas Strip and other heavily congested areas within Metro's Convention Center Area Command.
The seven motorcycles were purchased with a $50,000.00 donation made to Metro by the Consumer Electronics Association, who donated the money specifically to help Metro "go green".
The new patrol bikes can silently reach speeds of over 50 m.p.h., while at the same time producing zero emissions.
